Here's why Leisha Pickering had to part ways with William Wright
Perusing the Hinds County Chancery Court dockets, I came across an interesting fact: William Wright represented Elizabeth Creekmore Byrd and Douglas W. Byrd in their ID divorce. Current Leisha Pickering attorney Chuck McRae checked the file out on July 7, 2009.

Didn't Mr. Wright have to say which of the Byrds he represented at the time they divorced? He couldn't represent them both.
i have been curious as to why Chip's press release mentioned that Leisha had gone thru 2 attorneys. Appeared that he was trying to say she couldn't keep an attorney. It now appears the reason she couldn't was because of his actions. Since the file is sealed for some reason the truth is slow in coming forth. I can only imagine that the reason Wright withdrew had something to do with his representation of one of the Byrds and that he did so based on the motion to disqualify attorney filed by Chip's attorneys. Would be interested to know if the same filing asked for Johnson's disqualification. If so then Leisha was forced to hire other attorneys through no fault of her own. If I were the judge in Madison county I would be unsealing this file so that her character would not be impugned and the public would have the information to make their own impressions
It's hard for me to believe Mrs. Pickering would have any lawyer representing her who had anything to do period with her husband's long time mistress, Beth Byrd. The Pickering situation gets more interesting by the day.
Pinebelt - sealing probative evidence in a law case is an act of pure fascism, and I know that sounds melodramatic . . . the word fascism and all, but just think about it, look it up if you have to; this Judge is violating her oath of office - she swore to uphold THE LAW - not HER LAW; tell every politician you know that we want the "honest services doctrine" applied to judges and law clerks; that we want a bill passed making it illegal to violate an oath of office, giving standing to redress violations;
Chipper just keeps digging his hole deeper. Lott supposingly had to quit at a certain time in order to become a lobbyist, time limits, did this same rule not apply to Chipper, or was he doing his for CEllular for free while still on The Government payroll, not unheard of these days to loose your head while trying to protect your tail.
I hope Leisha takes Chip to the cleaners. Once a cheater ALWAYS a cheater. After seeing a picture of creekmore/byrd....WHAT is he thinkinG?????? He has screwed up BIG time. Not only with Leisha but with the lives of 5 boys who need a MAN'S example---what they have is a lying cheating low life's example to follow. SO SAD!
For the record, Jim's right about the no-dual-representation-in-a-divorce thing. Problem is, the docket lists them both as plaintiffs, and Wright as the "plaintiff attorney." Since the file has been checked out by Chuck McRae since before this mess began, I can't go determine which person Wright represented.
The only clue points to Wright being Douglas Byrd's attorney, since the docket entry says the fee check came from Douglas. Anyone know?
