Who's the best prosecutor in the Jackson area? You decide...

In an effort not to leave prosecutors out of the "fun" created by a poll pitting lawyers and their egos against one another, I've decided to create a poll asking you to choose the best prosecutor in Jackson. Criteria are of course subjective.

Note: If I left someone off, it was merely an oversight, and I apologize in advance. I am not going back and re-doing the poll. It messes up the voting.

Good idea, ctguthrie. The ones that pay in full are closest to my heart. Right below that are the ones who use quotation marks and "ALLCAPS" together for emphasis, as in,

Have you filed "THE POST-CONVICTION PETITION" yet?

Clarence, that'd be a good one. I've already received a call from the Hinds DA's office promising me an email with some suggestions. I'll forward it to you. I have a feeling our late mayor may win that poll running away.

You forgot Ed Peters and/or Bobby Delaughter. They were so good, they convicted innocent people!

I'm voting for Mansell on every single computer I can find. Gender = the best race-neutral reason ever.

Rebecca's racked up five reversals in four years. I think she's got everybody beat on that score including Ed Peters and Bobby Williams.

How about Mr. Ebbers? How far back are you going on the criminals?

Fun new game:

See if you can match the nicknames to the certain ADAs in Hinds:

"The Mexican"
"The Turk"
"Nervous Nellie"
"Ahhhh!! or Mrs. Doubtfire"
"Vhing Rhames"
"Skippy"
"Dilbert"

Don't be lazy, Matt- You should give all prosecutors their due- like John Emfinger for instance

Not being lazy, Randy. Leaving John out was merely an oversight on a busy day while putting together an unscientific poll. I probably left another one or two out, as well.
